Kauai Oceanfront Vacation Rental Condos in Poipu

Our oceanfront condo is just 10 steps to the waters edge and is one of the largest 1-bedroom oceanfront condos at Poipu's Kuhio Shores. The lanai and wall-to-wall windows overlooking the ocean are 5 feet wider than the standard 1-bedroom condos. The condominiums are surrounded by the ocean with views from 3 sides of the building in a location famous for surfing, snorkeling, and sunsets!

Best of all, our condo is on the ground level and on the ocean side toward the west so you can walk out directly on the lawn and be surrounded by ocean, sky and surf. The lanai is a great place to lounge and soak up the sun and ocean breeze. Or to just watch the waves, birds, porpoises, turtles, whales, and surfers.

The Kuhio Shores Condominiums are on the sunny south shore of Poipu Beach and the place is small and quiet. It extends out into the ocean so that there is water on each side. There is an expansive ocean view from wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and dining room. The ocean is so close you can hear it from every room.

There are two sandy beaches on each side of the condo. Prince Kuhio beach has excellent swimming, snorkeling, and diving and is famous for the sea turtles you swim with while snorkeling. Sometimes you can also see whales breaching and frolicking in the distance. The other, Lawai beach, is one of Kauai Hawaii's top snorkeling beaches but also has 3 prime surf spots: PK's, Centers, and Acid Drop. The surfers and body boarders are regulars at this Kauai beach in Poipu.

Entertainment is within minutes of this centrally located Hawaiian condo. Two golf courses are less than five minutes away - Kiahuna Country Club, and the championship Poipu Bay Resort Course - site of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf. For open ocean dives, as well as sport fishing, sailing, and ocean tours, go to the nearby Kukuiula Harbor for charters.

Tennis lessons, matches, or round robins can be arranged at either the Kiahuna Tennis Club, Poipu Kai Resort, or the Hyatt Hotel Tennis Club - all within a short five minute drive.

A variety of restaurants and shops are a few minutes away in Old Koloa Town (circa. 1830) or the Poipu Shopping Village. Also dinner is served right next door at the Beach House Restaurant - highly rated for good food and magnificent Poipu sunset. The Kauai Visitor Information for the South Shore lists many of the attractions in the immediate area.

Location. The condo is next to popular Kauai South Shore beaches with fantastic snorkeling and surfing. It is central to many Kauai activities. Our 1-bedroom condo is on the ground floor so you can walk out the sliding glass door in the living room to the lanai and ocean. It is located on the ocean side toward the west making it ideal for viewing the surfers and the sunsets.

Oceanfront. The ocean is only 10 steps away from the living room windows and the lanai. The ocean view is unobstructed since there is nothing between you and the ocean but a few feet of lawn. Our condo has 40% more windows and lanai than the standard one bedroom at Kuhio Shores for optimal ocean view!

Bright and Airy. There are Wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor windows in the living room and dining room. This lets the trade winds flow through and the sun shine through!

Tropical Living. There is a continuous breeze from the trade winds that flows from the living room thru the condo and out the bedroom.

Large. Our condo lanai and living room is 17 feet wide where the other one bedroom oceanfront condos are only 12 feet wide. So, the living room and lanai give 40% more window for a better view of the ocean!

Friendly and Cozy Complex. There are only 75 condos in this friendly complex.

Park. The large historical Kauai, Hawaii, Prince Kuhio Park is at the rear of our vacation rental condos.

Many Extras Cir Conditioned! Ground level walkout to ocean. We have high-speed wireless internet connection, a stereo with CD player as well as Color TV, Cable, and VCR/DVD combo. There is a BBQ grill cook area on site. The kitchen is fully equipped with gourmet cookware. Beach gear such as chairs, cooler, and towels are available. The condo is comfortable and very nicely decorated. There is a laundry room on site. The telephone is wireless with built-in digital answering system and speakerphone and local calls are free. House cleaning is available.

Location. Our condo faces the open ocean and is on the Southwest side of the building which is great for suset views and views of the great surf spots from the living room and lanai.
